I used to love when they worked me to death. Key man, Important, money.
Then it broke me down like a shotgun as my friend used to say.

Good morning all. Haven’t posted in here for a bit. Don’t really know why.

sitting at the kiddos second to last soccer game. Knee hurts. Rusty left a little present on the wood floor. Found out I can come pretty close to doing the full splits when my foot flies out from under me lol

Thoughts and prayers for healing to all that need it!
I’ve always tried to live my life by being positive and thinking of the good things I have not the bad. (Easier some days than others). When I find myself thinking more of the bad I try to enjoy the simple things in life like stopping to smell the roses(literally) watching my fish , and those kind of simple little things brings a smile to my face and gives me some peace and this puts me back in the positive track again.
Your day is only as great as you make it!

I ask for the extra.
I want to work Sundays (double time)
I want to work most holidays. (triple time).
my job is mental not physical.
"important" means longevity where I'm at, and having other company's wanting your services.
I design weld fixtures to put car parts together.
it's a big puzzle. locate the parts, that seem to get smaller with each program, and fit the weld/rivet guns in.
keeps the mind sharp.
and satisfies my artistical side.
and I want all the OT available, outside of October through the first week of December.
also means I rarely have to tell my mrs. "no".:cool:

Dr. appt went fairly well. Found out the doc is a Harvard Grad and some sort of pioneering genius, developing stem cell treatments and regularly does the "Grey's Anatomy" impossible surgeries. I was really pumped to meet the guy. Then they sent me the RNNP. I guess that is the process.
To be fair, she really listened. She was highly intelligent and knew more than previous docs I've been to. They are predictably sending me for updated and expanded MRI and X-rays. New one - I've got to do a nerve study. Sounds fun - not.
She called in stronger steroids plus a higher dose of Valium and Vicodin. I need to call the pharmacy though because from what I am reading ... you should never mix a benzo with an opiate. ( I didn't. ) I still only made it to 3:30 am before the pain woke me up and it left me really trippy. I'm not a pill person, so I truly hope to get those tests done and back in the office ASAP.
Overall .... the upside is that I'm working with a higher level of professionals than I had previously and they did not treat me like I was crazy. Counting my blessings and getting that electrical run on the stand today. That baby needs to get it's feet wet!!

OO I had a nerve study done. They stick needles in you and pass electricity through them. You will tell them what ever they want to know. That was when they were thinking I had diabetic neuropathy.

Seriously it wasn't bad. All they found were nerves damaged before I had my back repaired. It tells them exactly which nerve roots are affected.

Do you know what a dermatome is? If you have referred pain or numb patches it tells you which nerve roots based on where the symptoms are. My broken ones were L (Lumbar) 4 and 5.

If someone wants to know how to run a tank like me they can ask me. My answers are honest about my successes and my failures. It's pretty much all in my build thread to.
I do that because if I want to know when I did something I can search my own thread for keywords. If I want to know when I put 10k bulbs in the MH I can find it.

THANK YOU!!!! I'm saving that picture. That really explains so much of what she was telling me yesterday. I cannot thank you enough. I can follow this exactly to C7, which was her expectation based on the numbness in two specific fingers and the trajectory of the pain. It is much easier to understand with this visual. She is also looking somewhere between C3-C5 because of past imaging and the minor face drooping I have on my right side.

I try to be the same way. Always look at the positive side and go ”One Day At A Time” ( horrible TV show by the way but Valerie Bertinelli is still a cutie)! LOL!
So, I was sitting out on the deck having my second cup of coffee and “The Captain” came out. He’s a huge ground hog that has been living in the woods just outside of our back lawn. He’s been here as long as we own the place. Well, it appears that Ole Captain has himself a lady friend. Never seen more than one back there but they were running around and playing together. Just seeing that takes my mind off of things and heads me in a positive direction.
