Trip to Columbus was a bust. We found out nothing. On contemplation I think their computers were down. I dont think the vet we saw had even looked at Bears X-rays from the referral. We were given nothing to bring home as far as how to proceed and told we would get an email with our invoice. We didn't even get the name of the vet we saw.
The vet talked to us in the waiting area after examining Bear in the back. It was mostly generic medical speak in which he said he detected bear possibly had some neurological issues because of his reflexes. We got the nerves are like wires speech. I believe I actually rolled my eyes at him. I asked which ones (all reflexes have names) and what areas of the spine did they indicate where involved. I am extremely well versed in neurological diagnostics because I have had everything possible done to me. He had no specifics and went on to needing an MRI.
Which they couldn't tell us when they could do or how much it would cost.
Please just be honest and apologize if you are inconveniencing someone due to circumstances beyond your control.
Don't try to cover up and baffle them with bovine excrement.

We were hot. I made an appointment today with our vet today. I had the was he an idiot or are you speech ready.

But I am over it. Not the first 8 hours of my life wasted and not the last.
I will ask for another referral to Virginia Maryland vet hospital and wait. Medvet was a bust.

Life now seems to be functioning like a Swiss watch someone removed the back from, took a crap in and buried in the sand.

Anyway, the Nashville kids aren't coming now. Sad for us, but great news for them. They were coming here while their house was being shown...but they already have multiple offers and first showings were yesterday evening! They had 3 offers before it officially went on the market. Crazy.

Busy busy Old guy, broken dog, me. Nice day outside.
Things to do. Now Earnest is going to live here. It's what Jill want's. I will make it so. We will take care of him.
No assisted living in a place far from home. It would be like leaving him on a desert isle and sailing away. That was the plan of her two brothers. We refused to go along with it. We were supposed to agree with them. The easy thing.

They never once talked to him, asked him what he wanted or did anything to care for him. It seems parents are something to be tossed away like everything else now.
They have no idea who I am after 40 years. Earnest and I were never close. But he is Jill's father and I respect him like my own. I took care of my parents and I am not scared of old people with no clothes on, blood or any of the things that come out of old people.
I have seen death before.
Strength is in the will and not the body.
Next they will say we are just after the money. Like they did after I got him and Jill in to see Jean before she passed in the nursing home. Lockdown, danger, danger, impossible. Cant be done.
It took one phone call and someone willing to make it.

If you ain't for us you are against us. You make us look bad.
Such tiny tiny people should be careful what they come up against.
