Earnest was bored and a bit restless so we started restoring a bench that was left here in the yard rotting. The cast iron parts are very nice. There is another one to do too. The wood fairy just cut the last piece for us. He is starting physical therapy. There is no reason to let him sit and rot. He will need better skills to play with a puppy. After 40 years of jokes about dead cats guess who plays with Louie and laughs. Quality of life is important to me.

We put a deposit on a puppy. We get second pick of the male puppies. They should be ready the 3rd week of July. Now on to picking a name. Jill likes Bruno. Jill - it means brown, come on don't name the dog brown. Ick. I find it difficult to name someone I haven't met. Dealing with breeders is like paying someone to let you kidnap their children.

I think I like the name Kaiser Jillshund Von Hurrikan. That means Jill's best dog in Hurricane or something like that.
Very loosely translated. We will call it Kai. Or Bruno. I don't always win.

Good Morning, in a timely fashion today. i failed my flight physical Tuesday. i was on the roof then i wasn't. I was physically unable to sustain flight for the minimum time required and did not exhibit the expected lift after launch. it was a successful landing as i was able to walk away from it. The NTSB was not called to the site as it was not a commercial incident. lol IMG_4203.jpeg

Another rainy day. No kitchen until Saturday. We got a new cooktop too since the oven is out. Since no humans are involved in the delivery we couldn't get them both today.
Next is fun inside the electric panel. I need to change one breaker.

many many years ago, when i was in college, my major was aviation.
we learned falling off a roof can lead to sudden deceleration trauma.
glad this wasn't a case.

strangely residential house wiring was a required course for aviation.
apparently a tenured professor was having difficulty filling his courses.
in this class i learned morning/pre-coffee was much to early to be playing with electricity.
i learned this when my lab partner cut a live wire.

i'm looking at another strenuous day of looking at tool designs, and correcting them, on
an upcoming generous motors vehicle. couldn't tell you which one. fifty plus years doing this
and rarely do i enlighten myself to what vehicle it actually is.
i remember a few, the "k" car :face-with-rolling-eyes:, '87 vette, a wrangler or two, the first version of the f150 all aluminum,
tesla model 3..... but mostly parts are parts.

skies are beginning to clear. tomato/pepper plants would appreciate some sunshine and warmer temps.

Hi y'all. I've missed a few. June work project has not been my favorite. The good news: I may be DONE (with work) the end of January. The bad news: I have to wait until the end of January. Lots of factors involved. Stay tuned. :)

Good Morning! i moved the one molly that i had in the sump to the DT last night. now i will see if it had been dining on pods in the refugium. since April '20 i had one RBTA, it finally split in December '21 . the 'baby' split in March and then split again since then, i think in May but it was behind the rock and i just saw it yesterday lol they must like the AI lighting and Gyre flow
