I was going to mention Destin. It's one of our current go-to panhandle beach favorites. We also love Navarre Beach, which is closer to Pensacola. Both are beautiful, but we have actually been visiting Navarre more than Destin lately (been going to Destin for probably 40 years). Navarre is a little more secluded and not quite as touristy. It's also landlocked, so isn't nearly as overbuilt as Destin has become.

Actually, I love all of those beaches! Growing up in Miami and then living in Jacksonville for several years, we traveled extensively up and down both coasts, the Keys, and now the panhandle. I still have a 90-year-old mother living in Jacksonville on the east coast. :smiling-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I should have also mentioned the Florida Keys! There are some beautiful resorts up and down the Keys.

Way back when, we stayed in the old Holiday Inn on Key West. It was right on the water and my dad decided it would be fun to fish off the balcony. The water was so clear that we were able to watch the barracuda stalk the bait and then strike. We were also able to watch the screaming people run out of the water! :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: My dad was quite a character (and would drop a line anywhere there was water, fresh or salt). :)

Good morning
Traveling south today to assist in Jeanna's transplantation from Blacksburg Va to Morgantown WVa for her internship at Cheat Lake Animal Hospital. They also have a center for wild bird rehabilitation. Jeanna has worked there before.

Licensed by the US Fish & Wildlife Service to treat and rehabilitate injured, ill, or orphaned wild birds, including raptors, eagles, songbirds, waterbirds, waterfowl, and sea birds.

She was going to get me in before but it never happened. I may have another shot. I asked her to get me an owl. She always rolls her eyes at me.

morning everyone.. well its lunchtime here tbh.
anyone knows a place like Naples FL in the US where someone could move and chill at beach and having a relaxed life?
Im looking for a place which is mostly safe for kids, has a beach and is overall relaxed.
I bet you guys know the places.

Yes, Here on Eastern Long Island New York, 80 miles from the city it is very peaceful and surrounded by wineries, farms and beaches. We get out food from farm stands in the summer and next to us we have the largest pool on Long Island.
Also, being from Switzerland, you would recognize the snow in winter, but we don't get near as much of the stuff you do.

This beach is behind my house and in the 4 years I am living here I can count on one hand the times I have ever seen anyone on it when I walk there of fish in the early morning. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Good morning! We did something unusual for us....we actually went to a movie in a real movie theater! I loved the original Top Gun, so we went to see the sequel. I'm usually disappointed in sequels, but not this one!! Highway to the danger zone! :D

Have a great Saturday! It's drizzling here and much cooler. We'll take it. :)

Good morning
We got home last night at 9:30. I don't expect to move very much today.
Jeanna's life is crazy. She did an autopsy on a goat Friday was writing a report late Friday evening at the hotel. We got up at 6 and started moving stuff to a storage unit. We got the apartment empty and cleaned and returned here at 9:30 last night with 2 cars full of stuff. She has to get up[ and leave shortly. She starts her next rotation of 3 weeks in Morgantown tomorrow at a vet practice. Then back to Blacksburg moving into a new apartment. The old one has a new owner that is going to renovate the building. Classes start again.

Good morning. My bluebirds have 4 babies again. This is their 3 brood for this year. I missed when the last batch fledged cause I was on vacation. As recommended, I usually clean out the nest box after each brood but they had already started laying eggs on top of old nest by the time I got back home. This is the first year of being a successful bluebird landlord.
