Good morning. Have a great Friday! Pup got to experience her first firepit last night. She loves to sit in our porch swing, but learned quickly that you don't jump in the swing unless there's a human in it first!

Good morning. Was doing some maintenance yesterday and went to screw union ball value back on and was missing the O ring. Searched everywhere!! Went to HD then Lowes no one had the right size. A retired plumber working at Lowes recommended to pick closest smaller size and heat with hair dryer and stretch it on. He’s done it before and it will work. So I bought them ,came home and found this.
No wonder I couldn’t find it! Gotta watch him like a hawk. He’s always stealing stuff! Guess I can return the other ones now.

Louie caught a tufted titmouse on the deck and brought it down to the basement. It takes off flying. Louie chases bird and Paddie is after Louie.

Good morning! We had a nice trip to Nashville this weekend. The fall colors were beautiful on the Cumberland Plateau. The reds are really spectacular...not sure which tree(s), but they are something else this year! We took the little ones to an orchard and had plenty of pumpkin bread, apple donuts, cider, pumpkin slushes, apples slushes, pumpkin, apple, pumpkin, apple...not that I'm complaining!

The best part was the pup did GREAT boarding with her trainer. We feel much more comfortable boarding her now without it causing major stress. @MrsBugmaster, our next choice was to send her to your house to board!

Sounds like a great weekend trip! I love the fall colors but hate what comes after.
I would doggie sit her for sure! The best part of my job is seeing so many different breeds. I’ve even had a couple breeds I’ve never heard of before. I’ve had people from North Carolina in town for the Indy 500 and bring their dog with and boarded him with me while they were here. And several people from out of town here for weddings and different events bring their dogs and drop off for day care or boarding. I had no idea so many people travel with their dogs and I wonder why they don’t just board them in their hometown. And the best part is it was my husband’s idea for me to dog sit so all the money goes to my tank and not out of our household money (his paycheck) If I had to buy tank related stuff out of our household money I could not justify buying the expensive fish and equipment I now own.

Thank you, I might just take you up on if we're ever in the area! That's pretty neat how people come to you. We definitely prefer boarding her at home, just because I think traveling with her would cause a lot of anxiety...probably for all of us!

I think it's a great side business! I was so anxious about boarding her because I knew the vet would be VERY stressful. You can always hear the dogs barking in the boarding area, so I would imagine the barking goes on 24/7. I was worried she'd have a major regression. She's come so far since we adopted her, so I sure didn't want regression. She's been acting perfectly normal today, like it's just another day. She was definitely tired last night, but I imagine her trainer kept her busy!

Good Morning. This weekend for 4 days we took 3 other couples to our Daughters home in Vermont. These are on her property.

Big baby! He weighs more than Kenzie. She will be 2 "soon," we think around the end of the year. Hopefully, he won't be a counter surfer. We've had a hard time breaking that one! Usually, it's a roll of paper towels that we find shredded in the den. Last week, my husband caught her trying to sneak out the back door with a potato...it was supposed to be a baked potato that night. I'm not sure if she was planning to eat it or bury it!

Good morning. This will be my first morning walk of the season in the down jacket/gloves. I'm not quite ready to break out the heated gloves yet, but probably will tomorrow! Have a great day.
