Sounds like a weekend warrior and a side job thing he probably works full time at the Porcelain Palace

The oven is completely dead. It passed away during a self clean so the door was locked. He finally gets it apart and is looking at the door locking mechanism with great wonderment. Hmmm no voltage. He is testing all over the control board. I mention to him that if the oven is dead it wont work or have voltage anywhere except the mains. I ask him to test the thermal fuse and he says it's ok so I walk away. An hour later he decides the thermal fuse is bad after all.
No I am not a wizard. I looked it up on Google. #1 most common reason a Maytag oven goes dead.
It's a 5 minute job to replace a $20 dollar part.

Good morning
Oven has been broke for 3 weeks. We got a home warranty as part of the deal on the house.
It's a joke. I ordered the part and will fix it myself.
I can fix most anything electrical or mechanical. I didn't because the warranty should pay for it but I would like to cook something again. It must be a nightmare for people that cant do stuff themselves.
The seller paid $700 for the warranty and we paid the service guy $95 when he came 2 weeks ago. He only shows/calls in the evening on weekends and doesn't answer his phone through the week. What kind of repair person calls you at 7pm on a Saturday night out of the blue? He doesnt even have a voice mail greeting set. According to his message from last Saturday he has had the parts all week.
The part was $17 and will be here Tuesday.

I am considering filing a complaint with the state AG consumer dept. It's seems like a scam to me.

Ugh i hear ya! I had the same issue, AC broke a week or so back on the hottest day of the year, it was a friday afternoon. Called the warranty company and they said "oh we can take care of it but it wont be until monday, we don't consider ac to be an emergency and won't cover emergency ac repair calls" i said to them to send one of their representatives to come sit in my house for an hour and then tell me it's not an emergency. It was 98 degrees out that day. I have two small children and the tank. It's an emergency to me!

There is more to the story but simply put not only is the repair guy unprofessional but the people at the company you speak with or get emails from are nonprofessional.
I know the guy has the parts. He said so. He wont call so I tried to get them to have him call.
The impression I got is he is acting the way they expect him too. Not good. I gave them a 1 star review online. It got their attention but the guy still hasn't called.

I grew up feeding table scraps to the dogs, Labs have been bread so much all the bad stuff (allergies and weak stomach) keeps getting passed along. I can give her chicken breast, no skin or greasey coating, I swear she knows when chicken is on the menu.

good morning all but not so good for me at all this happened wednesday

just as everything wa sgoing so well DISASTER

my light fell in my DT while i was at work ,my wife rang but by the time i got home she had removed it but the damage was done a yellow substance had come out the light ,which i can only think was led cement

i think all my corals will die they all have string **** coming off them ,and have lost 3/4 of my fish too ,the skimmer was going nuts ,i could not keep up with it ,but its under control now

put some new carbon in i will keep changing this every 2 days i think

will do water changes every day now too for a week or so ,i ordered a icp test to see what is going on even though this will take

and will be getting a polyfilter today to help

SO SO GUTTED AS EVERYTHING WAS DOING SO WELL AT THE MOMENT AND THE WIFE WANT ME TO SELL IT ALL NOW AS WELL

which i will not do , i ordered another light yesterday will be here today ,but this is going to be a very,very slow comeback ,as all my money is tied up in the house renovations till the end of the year ,which i must get done with our 1st grandchild due in December

so the fightback begins
