Jeanna called. She has an offer to attend Lincoln Memorial College of Veterinary Medicine in Virginia.

No more pressure.
She still has other interviews scheduled. I think wants to attend Virginia Maryland where she has an interview in January. She also has interviews at Mississippi State and the place in the islands. The only one we havent heard from is Ohio State.

Christmas Party at work was a success! Now I'm done with work until next year. Well, maybe an occasional log in to check email, but that's it...unless something happens and I have to go in. Maybe I should just stayed loaded up on Egg Nog so I can have an excuse to not do any of that.

My kids are coming here today for some Pre Christmas visiting. They live in the West Village in Manhattan. It's about 100 miles and so far they have been traveling over 3 hours and not close yet.

I hate traffic but on Christmas I have to go there, something I am not looking forward to. Maybe I should start now.

And Christmas is my Birthday, so I will spend most of it in traffic.

Aww man, hate those disasters so close to holiday. Remember a Christmas as a kid, the oven quit with the turkey in it, as I remember it we had popcorn and pie. Funny how some disasters can end up being good memories.

Any empty nesters do big Christmas dinners?

We started the "Christmas Story" tradition years ago....Chinese take out for Christmas. Usually spend days before visiting the kids, eating Ham and Turkey and big ol family dishes and casseroles galore. By the time Christmas rolls around nothing sounds better than pork Lo Mein and an egg roll....followed by pecan pie of course.
