I missed good morning, so good afternoon. It's hard to get to a computer when there are 2 toddlers and a 3-month-old in the house. I can't even think about computers when they venture into my office. I'm too busy trying to rescue mag floats and keep them from banging on the glass! I'm exhausted, but in a good way. The Nashville group heads back home tomorrow. I'll have a day to recover and clean up after the tornado that blazed through my house....then back to work.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Tonight we're having BBQ baby back ribs, mac-n-cheese, and baked beans with a bunch of extra bacon. The ribs are "finishing" in the oven. It's clouding up and may rain later, so I can finish the dinner project inside. Papa (husband) had a bday yesterday and the kids were so excited. Very cute. Makes "getting old" not quite so bad when you have excited toddlers singing and begging for cupcakes. ;Joyful

what a yesterday. a day full of discoveries.
went to fire up the grill only to discover someone :p
left the gas on last time and the tank was empty.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
later in the evening, after all the stores was closed,
i partially drained the frag tub.
drilled it.
ran the plumbing from the over flow box and the return line only to discover
i was a reducer short between the pump and return line. :rolleyes:
off to the hardware place for fittings and propane.

Ive never been to one though, but they look pretty cool from the air.

Good morning
I water tested the reactor. Some jerk cracked the bottom fitting probably with a hammer. JB Waterweld and some silicone fixed the crack. I will try again tomorrow after it dries.

yesterday i unplugged the HOB filters and did a 15% wc on my FW tank and replaced the HOB filter cartridges. when i put the water in and plugged the filters back in, the left one was noisy.
this morning it was still making too much noise so i pulled the impeller out and it had weeds tangled in it. removed the weeds, reset, and restart: violin! quiet.
Being retired, Labor Day is all about saluting those of you still in the trenches, Sa-Lute!!!

Good morning! The company finally got out the door in an SUV packed to the brim. I had forgotten how much "fun" it was to pack for a 2-night trip with young ones! It was a great visit. I have reassembled my den and all mag floats are accounted for.

I'm relieved to have a day off to recover from the chaos. I've already done a w/c on the BioCube. I have laundry to do, including an entire load of beach towels. It requires A LOT of beach towels to take 4 adults, 2 toddlers, and 1 baby up to the neighborhood pool...

Good morning everyone! I never thought I would go on a cruise with covid going on, but I just got back from a cruise. The cruise line recently changed their policy and would only let people sail if they had been fully vaccinated two weeks or more before the cruise and those too young to be vaccinated needed to have an on-site rapid test before getting on the ship. They were also only carrying 20-25% of the normal number of passengers, so we decided to sign up for 3 day trip at the last minute. It was great. I am always amazed how big those things are! Here is an example - a picture of one of the two movies theaters on board. This only shows about 1/3 of the seats and there is also a large balcony. It's the biggest movie theater I have ever been in. Also, just because I like it, here is picture of my daughter as a thunder storm was approaching last night.

We LOVE cruises and miss them terribly. I'm so glad to hear you had a great experience. We have one scheduled in January, but if it doesn't happen, our plan B option is a condo in Clearwater! :)
 
Good Morning Everybody!
Hope Y’all had a nice holiday weekend. I was going to detail our “ride” today but it looks like Angela is going to have to drive it to Memphis this week for business. Normally, she would rent a car but there are NO rentals to be found in our area right now. After the flood in Waverly, so many vehicles were destroyed and most of those folks are in rentals through their insurance.
Makes no sense to do a paint correction on it to have it plastered with bugs in one day. LOL! Check the fluids and clean the windows is all it gets this week.
A while back, we were all chatting about Keurig coffee makers. Ours started acting up a few days ago ( of course, we just bought a bunch of pods for it ) so we went out and bought a Nespresso machine yesterday. Sure does make a tasty ”cup-O-Joe”. We haven’t tried the milk frother yet but Latte’s are Angela’s thing so I’m sure it will get tested today.
