Good morning
I actually have one of those skinny pieces of wood with a piece of rubber on one end...right next to my computer! Way back when, my husband took the CPA exam with a pencil and "scratch paper"...anyone remember scratch paper? You could also write in the margins of the test booklet. Calculators were not allowed. It's all computerized now and no longer takes 3 straight days. Times have changed....for the better? Maybe not.
Pitch is the same color as a pencil lead. Most people here won't know what a pencil is so go into your Grand Father's desk drawer and look for a skinny piece of wood with a piece of rubber on one end.
Pencils gradually turned into the computer you are looking at now through a process called evolution.

Well, I remember to look at it most of the time.
I like paper. My job is 100% electronic and paperless, which I don't like. Accounting to me was a 14-column ledger and a #2 pencil. Now I have to work in Excel, so I can pretend I have a 14-column ledger, except it has 50-bazillion columns. Not the same.
