Good morning everyone! I played musical chairs yesterday with my clownfish and moved several pairs around. Thankfully there were enough tanks for everyone and several got an "upgrade".

Good morning everyone! All of the family has left and life is mostly back to normal. We had Thanksgiving at my brother's house and came back without any turkey and everything we made was eaten. So sad. Today I am going to deep fry one for us. I haven't done that in awhile. It's in the 50's here, so it's nice out and the dogs are loving it. Have a great day!
 
Good morning. Daughter going back to college this afternoon. Tomorrow husband leaves for a week long trip to Mexico and then will be home for three days and then to France for a 5 day trip. His travel is starting to pick up again. But may be short lived with the new covid variant now. Pre Covid he was gone more than he was home.

We are exhausted. The kids went home last evening and the old people went to bed early. Next we need to Get Jill's dad home which will be a 6 hour round trip. Everything went pretty well and nothing important got broken.
Kinda bummed that my smallest lionfish died. I fed them and when he didn't appear I knew. Once again I found it between a rock and the glass in the back sort of flattened. I will not replace it. I think my success in keeping them alive has led to both tanks being overcrowded now. I am also sweating the 2 large angels in the big tank. A lot of chasing and splashing water out of the tank. The biggest one isnt really bad but the smaller one insists on going where it isn't welcome over and over again. Every night before the lights go off I get a 1/2 gallon of water in the floor and all over the end of the tank.

Good morning. The kids left this morning. We are also exhausted. The only way to keep Teddy calm while mom and dad packed was to let him watch Clifford the Big Red Dog for the 100th time in four days. Actually, they limit his screen time, so we watch 10-15 minute segments of the movie. I've seen so many segments, I'm starting to piece the whole movie together. :rolleyes:

I need to make lots of RO/DI water today and do a w/c on the BioCube....also do another cleaning of the glass on the 90. I worked hard to get the sausage fingerprints off yesterday, but there are still smears everywhere. I am going to miss those little smearers, though. At least I'll get to see them again in a few weeks. :)

Have a great Sunday. This will definitely be a rest day for us...

Yup. Happened to my birdsnest (aka decorator tuxedo urchin) I was sure I had it nice and secure. Woke up to it in 100 pieces. Saved what I could. Other pieces gave up the ghost.

Good morning, had coffee and made waffles, eggs benedict for the husband and son.

I did buy a new acro frag yesterday. According to big name merchants, it would be classified as a mini colony. I want the other piece the guy has. I just don't know if I will be able to provide the right environment. We shall see.
I'll get the big camera down later today. I want some close ups. The color is really starting to show today. Yesterday it just looked like a ball of brown, red polyps and teal tips. The purple is looking a little more fluorescent. The slimer on the left is under 1", for comparison. Time for water tests.

Good morning everyone! I now have three days left before hip surgery makes me useless for weeks. They need to stitch some bits back together that I managed to pull apart last year. That means that I have three days to put up a Christmas tree and other decorations, put up the outdoor lights, sand and stain the deck and make a bunch of dinners to freeze so my wife doesn't have to cook every night, which I usually do.
Now I'm off to the surgeon's office. Have a good day!

Good morning. Yesterday I had some new fish come out of quarantine and added to DT in acclimation boxes. Blue hippo tang and a trio of flame angels, I’ll let them hang out in acclimation boxes for a couple days. I’m most worried about the flames because my Interruptus Angle is a bully. Maybe I should trap him in the fish trap before I release the flames.

That's actually a good idea! I've done that very thing with an obnoxious damsel and my clown. I even let them chill out in the BioCube while my Kole tang recovered from practically being destroyed by those two. They are all in the 90 again and everyone gets along.

I was reading your build. I love the start of it all. You have more experience with these monsters than myself. I only had an emperor and she was a sweet heart. I had a powder blue, the devil from the depths.

You'll have to trust your own instinct and go with it. You know what to do, I say do it and don't second guess it!

Good morning! Back to the old grind for me also. Thankfully, things are usually pretty calm between now and January. I'm still hoping to go part time, but it may be spring now. Lots of stuff to consider.

Good morning, my son is mad. Croissants are all gone and he wants me to make more. The battle begins after I am done with my coffee. We shall see how round 2 goes!

TY @WVNed Even though I don't have the arthur cookbook yet, they still have free online recipes. I pretty much loved their's. I skipped a couple of steps of refrigeration, don't do that :(
