Good morning. It's snowing here. Supposed to be light snow but it looks like regular to me.

trash pandaGood morning. Some snow flurries this morning but no accumulation expected. Something stole one of my bird suet cakes during the night. Took the wire hanging box and all! I’m thinking maybe the coyotes are the culprits. This one wasn’t hanging very high up. I just bought that thing a few weeks ago. I have two and the other one is on a taller pole. It is still there but that pole is leaning a little bit.
Maybe, I rarely see them but see the coyotes all the time. I thought the raccoons would just eat it and not carry the whole thing off. I looked around the area and could not find the wire basket anywhere. Opossum and coyotes is all I’ve seen here but that doesn’t mean there aren’t raccoons too.trash panda
that's exactly what i was thinkin' Mike..lol...
I am amazed that we have coyotes here in the middle of suburbia, but they set up camp for a few months every year. Seriously, if you don't here the pack barking at night, the first sign they are back is seeing a lot of "lost cat" flyers being put up.Maybe, I rarely see them but see the coyotes all the time. Coons steal my suet feeders all the time. They one made off with Audrey’s food dish when she was still an outside “barn Cat. About a month later, Angela was outside and came running in the house and told me I had to see something. The food dish was about 25’ up in a tree stuck between the branches.Maybe, I rarely see them but see the coyotes all the time. No, but snowing today. Yeah, I know that doesn’t help me identify the culprit lolyou still have snow?
any tracks?
Yeah, maybe it’s the raccoons then. I have a trail camera so maybe I should set that up again.Coons steal my suet feeders all the time. Waaaaay too many coyotes here in our area. They just get harvested if they get too close to the house or the henhouse.
2 months after we moved in this house , 10 years ago, a coyote attacked our little dog. I used to put him on a tie out cable attached inside the garage so I didn’t have to go out in the cold. I barely got back in the house when I heard him yelping and crying. I immediately ran outside and could not find him. His collar was broken and off the cable laying on the ground. I called his name and heard another little yelp. I ran in that direction and saw a coyote half way across my yard with my dog in his mouth. I immediately charged the coyote with my arms up in the air and made loud growling noises at it. I was prepared to chase that coyote down. Doing all this while in my pjs. Fortunately the coyote dropped my dog and ran off. That was a $1700 emergency vet bill. Vet said he was extremely luck as the coyote just missed his juggler. Vet also said coyotes stalk their prey and know he was there outside every night at 10pm and I could never leave him unattended again cause the coyotes will be watching. So now he always goes out on a leash.I am amazed that we have coyotes here in the middle of suburbia, but they set up camp for a few months every year. Hi ,is this a page out of a "off topic" new book of your's coming soon...I just spent the morning trying to book a flight on Jet Blue. It used to be so simple. Now you have to go on their site and remember the password you used 2 months ago. Of course it won't work because you have to change your password because it was from before Tuesday.
Now you need to have at least 17 characters, two capitals, three symbols, 4 quotation marks, two dashes (one has to be on a 37 degree angle) and it has to be in at least 5 colors and three of the capital letters have to be in a different language than English, French, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin or Klingon.
Then you get on their site to try to book your flight. They ask things like:
Have you ever been less than 500 yards from anyone who has had Covid, the common cold, acne or a sore throat?
Have you watched any movies and sat less then 10' from the TV where an actor portrayed someone with Covid?
Have you recently read a book where one of the characters mentioned Covid?
Then you try to book the flight.
Do you want to sit near an emergency exit? If so you need to take a class on how to open the door while wearing a face mask plus the oxygen mask that will fall down in front of your face because the pilot has his service dog on his lap.
Then you have to pay for your luggage. That costs about two or three times the cost of the flight which is high now because there are lines at the gas pumps and gas doubled in cost but I won't go into that. Your luggage will sit on your lap and act as your table, pillow and blanket.
You then pick your seat. You can get a recliner or a beach chair. The umbrella is extra.
Now you pick your meal. Pretzels or popcorn (an additional charge applies)
It used to be so simple to book a flight. You would call the airline and a nice person speaking English would answer in a friendly voice and ask you where you want to go and when.
Then "she" would say, oh of course, I have been there and it is a wonderful place. I will even meet you there and show you and your wife around because I have family there and now the best places to see.
She would tell you the price and say, you can pay now or at your convenience. You don't even have to pay if you are not in the mood or are to busy now.
Bring all the luggage you want, you can even bring your car, dog or LFS employee if you need them.
You are all booked, enjoy your trip and remember you can cancel any time, even if you are in the air and 3/4 of the way there.
Have a nice day.![]()
