Good morning everyone! I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I am attending a talk by a UF fish veterinarian. He has been a friend for over 15 years, but I learn something every time we interact. Stay warm, stay safe, and reef on!

Good morning! Lots of rain last night, but no major storms. Things can get kind of dicey around here this time of year. I can't believe it's almost spring!

Biggest accomplishment yesterday was booking our Caribbean cruise for 10 days next February!! We'll be visiting some new ports and I'm sure snorkeling will be involved. I promise I will have a decent underwater camera for that trip!!

We had a huge storm last night and I thought my house would be in the Long Island Sound sailing to New Jersey. :oops:

It sounded like a freight train that needed a new wheel and it kept crashing into my front glass.

My outside furniture took a trip and this morning I had to go and round it up. (one handed of course) I just walked around the neighborhood to see how many trees fell down. :D

Can't collect water as it is filled with oldsmobiles and lawn chairs. :cool:

All we got was wind and cold. Lots of branches down in the road on the way to HD. Panels are cut and screwed in.
Now to make a cabinet door. A Fake panel door to be exact. Paint and hinges are here and I got a sound bar on clearance for $20 with Bluetooth so maybe some music in the garage.

It works. Needs a subwoofer. I wonder where I can find one for $20?
 
A little past morning here, so good afternoon. Weather is very Florida like. I wish I could be somewhere with all the snow people are getting. I miss it. The neighbor had his knee replaced a couple of days ago and his wife insisted that someone (me) spend the day with him yesterday "just in case". I'm not sure what that meant, but he did ask if I could refill his water, so I guess I was useful. In one month, these zoas went from very short skirts to really long ones for no apparent reason. Some others are doing the same. Interesting. Have a great weekend everyone!

When Americans made things and you could buy them at your local store.
They were made of metal, came with directions, In a metal storage box, had a list of places they could be repaired with part numbers and still worked after 57 years. When people here had an education and jobs beyond making french fries.

At this point maybe it is better to just forget and start a weed farm with lights from China.
I should probably send this to the landfill and go buy a new plastic one at Home Depot. The light bulb is burned out.
Looking at it is making my heart ache.
I remember when My mom and I bought this at the hardware store in Marmet for dad. That is where and why the bench sander I have came from too. In 1965 I was 5. They had cool bikes and wagons. There was a spiral staircase that went upstairs.

Good morning. Jill is at her dads and I am minding the zoo today. Her brother Erich is there to. Somehow he hit his head in the basement. One of the nieces is married to a doctor. So Erich got 8 staples in his scalp in the kitchen. Home health care.

Hopefully I will get the stand done today. It is supposed to be 60 tomorrow and 70 Monday.

I love it and still have many tools Made in America from decades ago. I will even throw out something made in China or other foreign places if I could find an old American tool that I could refurbish.

I was a Mechanic for General Motors in the 60s and still have almost all my hand tools from there.

My clothes for the most part if possible are American as are all my sneakers. Not easy but if Americans didn't buy foreign stuff, we wouldn't have any of it here and we would still be the Manufacturing center of the world.

Not long ago I bought tires for my car and it is hard to determine where tires come from because you have to look up the serial numbers. But I got them because I won't buy foreign tires. I would buy old ones if I couldn't get them
 
Pretty sure Jills dad has a Lincoln welder. I asked her to inquire about it. I always wanted to learn welding. He has a complete set of carpenters tools, planer, table saw, lathe and more he has been giving her brothers.

I asked Bear and Zoe to make me some coffee. I guess I will have to go do it myself. They just went back to sleep.
