Orange stuff is a sponge crab is hard to see. But might pull him out and place in sump till ID is confirmed

Yeah, I don't see the crab you are talking about. Generally hairy crabs are bad, but you know the saying... when in doubt take it out.

Yeah it's a bit more spiny than most of the emeralds I've had and seen. May be a gorilla. I'd take it out to be safe. I'd love to have some orange sponge like that. You need lots of flow and periodically feed it phyto. My red/orange tree segments are doing great, but I want more coverage like that.

If the crab has any black on its claws its most likely a Gorilla crab. Its always safe to assume unidentified crabs are harmful, and remove them while you know where they're at until you can get a positive ID. Most crabs are opportunistic feeders and can reek havoc in our tanks by preying on smaller less powerful things and even sleeping fishes larger than them.

Yeah. Most likely a gorilla crab. Pull him and let him be a sump janitor. The orange (pink, to me?) is encrusting sponge. Good stuff to have but will probably die off over time.
