We found the attached crab in some live rock. It was pulling at an empty hermit crab shell and there were some empty shells outside of the hole where it was, so I'm assuming it is aggressive. However on the off chance it was just being opportunistic, I'd like to try and be sure.

We though gorilla crab at first, but no black claws. It is in my sump at the moment.

Bad crab ! He's a bruiser lookin one as well ! still cool though. Can Ya put it in the sump?

Not sure on fish, but generally on corals if it doesn't have hairy legs, it's okay. I have no idea what it is though.

Might help here a bit, once it was back in the water, it has really hairy legs.

I'm planning on throwing him in the refugium as I'm not prone to killing things that may have a purpose somewhere else in the system. But after seeing the shells outside of his hole, I don't want it near my cleanup crew.
