Mostly not coral predators, but this is debated. What isn't debated is that they quickly multiply and cover the glass.

I would not want that in my tank . I have in the past and they multiplied to where I had to buy a harlequin shrimp to get rid of them but that was a cool experience watching the harlequin shrimp eat them . Then I had to keep buying chocolate shrimp for the harlequin. Wasn’t planned but I enjoyed the new addition .

toss that as soon as possible and dont let it break apart it will grow back and keep splitting!!! they are terrible!!!! i have them:{

I've seen them on a spot of coraline algae for a few hours of watching and when they move the dark purple has small white spots where they were sitting its not much damage, but they reproduce/split so fast and they are just unsightly to have. If It were me I would take it out asap! I manually remove them because I don't want to starve a harlequin shrimp but I've thought about it!
Here's this month's harvest, im thinking about getting little glass bottles and putting some sand in them and a few of these and small shells and sell them to tourist @johns pass lol
