Gorilla crab. The name fits its temperament. Will eat any and everything so if you have to don't hesitate to kill it.

Caught mine at night, speared it. It was chilling out on a rock in the open. I Got a red flashlight( they can't see this light spectrum) and I stabbed it.

It was either him or the fish and coral you invested in. Mine took out a coral beauty and valentini puffer, so i didn't feel too bad.

Yea. I was worried that was the case. I hate when that happens too. But it is kinda like a farm. You really can't have coyotes around your chickens. I love hitchhikers like love love love hitchhikers. But it happens from time to time you get a bad one or could be bad one.
So be glad you got to see one and maby the next one you can build a trap for and know more of how to keep an eye on them till you do trap it. Then you can put it in a sump or refugium.
But for a new aquarist it's just better start clean and easy.

Hopefully the next hitchhikers are cool ones you can keep and enjoy.
