Is this worm thing that's attached to the rock good or bad?

It appears as if its a dead feather duster, I have like a issue with feather dusters like some people do with aptasia

I've been given mixed opinion on this, someone on another forum said a peanut worm? Another question to ask; I found a bristle worm in my tank people say they are bad and good, will it be ok to leave in the tank and at a later date get a coral shrimp to eat them ?

I couldn't ID positively, so I didn't throw down. But I was thinking Peanut Worm. Hard to tell from that shot.
Bristle Worms are ok, they can be controlled in population by how the tank is fed. If you over feed there will be a ton of them, if you feed light, and theres not alot floating on the bottom and collecting, you won't see alot.

I have never removed a bristle worm from my tank, They are good scavangers, I had a 3 inch fish die once, My wife told me she saw it on the sandbed, i went downstairs aprox 20 min later to get it and it was completely wrapped by bristleworms, aprox 45 min later no fish, so they do help, however if I remove a rock from the tank and there are worms in it, i remove them at that time with tweezers, DONT TOUCH IT!!! nothing worse then using superglue and tape to remove hundreds of bristles from your fingers.

Ill see if i can get a pic of some dead or dying feather dusters , its litterly identical however Ive never had a peanut worm either.

Ouch! Didn't realise the Bristles actually sting and get stuck on your skin! Won't be touching them ill leave them I think, not sure if they are alive or not only second day had tank up and running exciting stuff! X

Are they ok to keep? Why does it split in half so much learning I need to do haha

That's the one I think :-) thank you! Finding aload of weird looking scary worms at the moment :s xxx

Oh god it looks just like that video any suggestions on how to get it out? It creeps me out! Hopin it's dying because its just laying out of the rock looking for food (tank only has rocks in ATM) and has now got one half of its body in one hole and the other in another. Have you ever had one of these?

I'd remove the rock with the Eunice worm in it and flush it out or kill it by any means possible. Sure don't want to take the chance of it reproducing, do you?

No I don't :s does it reproduce on its own? I think it's moved rocks so ill have to have a search and do it tomorrow thank you x
