So, I'm pretty new to reefing. Probably nothing, but I wanna make sure this stuff isn't something I need to get ahead of.

Not really wanted. Looks like green hair algae (GHA) lots of factors play. Many will say high nutrients but theres much more than just a matter of nutrients. I have very high nutrients compared to most reefers and no algae other than coraline (In my display).

My suggestion and easiest, if you have a fuge or lighted sump, make sure your lights on for that a few 3 - 4 hours longer than the lights in your display. Limit the lights in your display to 8 hours tops and watch the nuisance algaes slowly recede over several weeks time. The goal there being to get the algae growing better in the fuge/sump.

I'm sure you'll see a bunch of other suggestions. Good luck.

Sadly I don't have a Fuge light yet, so I also don't really have a Fuge yet. lol. I also don't have any coral in my tank yet since its still cycling so I'll just leave the lights off for now, unless that'll harm the cycle. Also I'll be stocking the tank soon, any good clean up crew for GHA?

Yea, you can leave the lights off, that will kill it. You should also be checking your phosphates once it does cycle, this will be a big cause of the HA.

What is your po4 (phosphate) at? What lights are you using? How old are they? How much do you feed (probably not the cause)...
