Hello all. I am asking your expertise in identifying the two "guests" on this live rock in my photo. The larger on on the left--looks kind of like an aptasia but its been there a while, doesnt seem to be spreading (there are a few on this particular rock but not seeing them anywhere else), and the white ringlets on it are throwing me off.
Further back on on the right, the more whitish "guest" appears to be coming out of a white drinking straw like tube which it retracts into if I happen to get too close.

Good or bad??

Thanks!

Aiptasia Bad

It is a pest anemone, as KJ said, called Aiptasia. There are a number of different products on the market to kill them.

FWIW, there are way more than 2 in the one picture.

OK--thanks-- what I was saying was I'm not seeing them elsewhere in the tank except that one rock.

What about the whitish looking one on the back right?

If they haven't spread from that one rock and no other corals are attached to it I would pull that rock right away

I pulled it out. I know its hard to tell from the photo but it was a very small rock--maybe 3 inches across. Lets see how that little Bas*&^% does under the bushes by the driveway :-)
