Can anyone please tell me what these reddish purple spots are I just started cycling my tank five days ago they are hard and growing off the rocks

If you happen to get liveones (very rare) it’s a harmless filter feeder.

Awesome thank you every one. it's been 8 years since I've had a reef tank and am excited to get back into it. I was worried I was already going to be fighting a battle but feel much better now
