Hey all,

we’ve notice a couple of tiny beings appear in our tank.

one we think may be baby snails the other possibly baby starfish but being new to the hobby we’re just guessing.

The “starfish look like tiny snowflakes on the glass wall so difficult to photograph but hopefully will give enough for someone to ID.

thanks in advance

Thanks guys, they’re so tiny and can’t see anything at the moment but will keep an eye on them. Are they both ok to have in a reef tank?

Yes, Spirorbis worms. Hydroids will probably die off, and the Spirorbis worms can potentially multiply in great numbers, but shouldn’t cause physical harm to anything, aside from maybe equipment if they get out of control.
