I’m looking for a good light to put over my Biocube and I found a Radion g4 xr15 pro for $230 without the mount. Is this a good deal for the light?

Great deal if good condition
I bought a couple used for $300ish when the G5's came out

Ok thanks for responding I just wanted to make sure I’m not being ripped off or anything. It’s coming in it’s original box and pretty much in mint condition.

It was normally in the $430 range for a new G4, so a good conditioned used G4 for $230 is a good deal.

Ok great! Also I posted this on another thread but just wondering where I can find the ab+ spectrum (softie/LPS) specially for a xr15 g4 pro? On the coral lab website the settings are for xr30 g3.

The AB+ spectrum will be in the programming of the light if you use the Ecotech website to control the light. If you use a Apex then it isn't and you have to manually set it. For the most part it is the same, B, UV, RB, and V at 100 percent and the rest at 24 percent.

Oh ok awesome so when I set up the light they’ll just be different preset options I can use?

Correct, the only time you have to manually set it is when you use a apex with a WXM module.

You can select the profile in the WXM menu also. Many users have variations and setting profiles for public use.

I would check the manufacture date and at what intensity the previous owner runs the light at. If it is in good condition, like other mentioned, it is a really good deal, but if the light has been ran at for example full intensity for 2 years, I would say not so much.

I just did a custom and replicated it to mirror the AB+ setting minus a few percent on the reds and greens.

In EcoSmartLive (used with reeflink) You would select load from template. From there you select the CoralLab Profiles like AB+, LPS, PHX14, and more CLab profiles available from Ecotech.

So I don’t have Reeflink but that won’t affect how I use the light right? EcoSmart live still works without the reeflink?

Manufacture date was November 2, 2018 and he ran it at the default intensity for just under a yearcause he said he didn’t have a reeflink to control it though, I’m pretty sure you don’t need a reeflink to control it.

I think you access it thru your web browsers with the light connected by USB. I set up originally with a Reeflink so not 100% on that. Make sure they remove the serial number from their Ecosmart acct, not a hard process but I had to contact EcoTech with serials and proof of purchase when I bought some used a couple years ago because I couldn't get back in touch with the seller.

You don't need reeflink to control the light. Reeflink is for if you want to control the light through your phone (ecosmart live app). You can hook it up to your computer/laptop through cable and login to ecotech site and you can set the settings there. And I think for g4, you will be able to access via mobius app LATER without reeflink. (right now only g5 can via mobiles app) I believe default intensity is at full intensity, but I could be wrong.
