Good putty for frags to aquascape

Hey all! So my tank is all cycled and I'm starting to get corals. I've decided to get show grade frags so they are more affordable but I can still get really nice pieces. My question is what is a good brand of puddy or glue to use to stick frags and plugs to vertical or steep cliff edges? I have some flat rocks but lots of steep walls. Obviously I will be attaching corals submerged in the tank. I have Instant Ocean Hold Fast puddy but I don't think it's going to work from reading the reviews on it. Any of you guys had any luck with a particular product?

I really like tunze coral gum. The instant is better than the regular sticks of it. The downside is its really expensive

I dab on CG coral glue from ecoTech then I use AF Poly Glue (you warm the poly glue ) from Aquaforest then another dab of CG coral glue, put on frag or large coral..it holds great on rocks and takes shape of rock into odd places.holds coral really good.

What works for me is a sandwich of superglue gel/JB Waterweld. I mix up enough WW to make two pieces. I put a drop or two of SGG one one chunk of WW and press it into place on the rock. I them mold the second piece of WW around the frag/coral and put a couple drops of SGG on it. Press chunk 2 into chunk 1 and hold them together for a few seconds while it all sets up. For the first week or two it is a bit unsightly but the WW will quickly become covered in coraline algae and other life and will be invisible within a month or so.

FWIW - I get my SGG at the dollar store in the tiny tubes unless the woodworking expo is in town - then I'll buy a few large bottles of "woodworking" cyanoacrylate gel for cheap. JB Waterweld I get at HD/Lowes. It's exactly the same stuff as the "aquarium use" two part epoxy sticks, just 1/4 the price.

Lucky you. Up here it's pretty much the same price as the aquarium stuff.

I recently picked up some DD Aquascape construction epoxy. I've used it a few time now and it seems to be so much better than any of the other aquarium brands that I've tried. Like Bill, I use the epoxy in conjunction with Superglue gel.

Problem solved. BSI Coral glue rocks! I watched the BRS TV episode on coral glues & puddys and decided to give the BSI a try. Works like a charm! I even glued a rock to my back wall! Hold in place for 20-30 seconds and you are glued. It comes in a tube too so you can use it under water and it doesn't suck water back in and ruin the rest of the glue. They also come with an extra tip. A+
