Hey guys We are on month 2 of our tank cycle and noticed some stringy growth in the tank, the rocks and sand are also turning green. Is this a good sign?

Can you tell us the numbers for your tank? Test results, gallons, how you're cycling it, etc?

Diatoms in the rocks, normal stuff going on. What ya got for water param numbers?

Started out cycling with stability but read bad things so stopped. I then started ghost feeding.

If you want corals, I'd say 1.024-1.026. With fish only it can be a little lower.

All depends on what your keeping. With a fish only tank you can keep it anywhere from 1.017 to 1.027. Reef tank I'd keep it at 1.025-1.026.

I'm currently using a bit of stability on my new 105 but I also use a bit of another nitrifying bacteria and for anyone that says it doesn't work I disagree.
