Good sign for cycle?

Hey guys We are on month 2 of our tank cycle and noticed some stringy growth in the tank, the rocks and sand are also turning green. Is this a good sign?

Can you tell us the numbers for your tank? Test results, gallons, how you're cycling it, etc?

Numbers looking good. You might want to raise the salinity a little.

Ok what is a good salinity to aim for?

If you want corals, I'd say 1.024-1.026. With fish only it can be a little lower.

All depends on what your keeping. With a fish only tank you can keep it anywhere from 1.017 to 1.027. Reef tank I'd keep it at 1.025-1.026.

May I ask where you read the bad info about SeaChem Stability? I used it with great success! So I'm curious

I'm currently using a bit of stability on my new 105 but I also use a bit of another nitrifying bacteria and for anyone that says it doesn't work I disagree.
