Hello All, Rural King is charging for shipping now. Any other places I can look? I'm trying to find a pair of 65-75 gallon vertical tanks.

Thank you!

I spent some time checking all the Ace Roto tanks between 55 and 75 gallons on RuralKing. This is the only one with free shipping. Placed order for 2. Fingers crossed. Thank you so much!

My 4 Water storage tanks came from Brown Foreman Distillery,You can buy Food grade 55 gallon drums for 10.00 to 20.00 everyday.. Check craigs list ...

we also have some for rain collection barrels.. I am thinking about building a closed pressure system to use the rain water thru my RO/DI. I think it would be better then the chlorinated water .but i use it for green house as of now .

Well, interestingly the one I got is only about $24 more after shipping. So I'm not hugely regretful. Though the dimensions of a square tank is much nicer for sure.

Is the square one also polyethylene? I might just get the square one and use the one I got for mixing.

This is the one I got:

I just set mine up, but I'm getting a leak from the threaded bulkhead to where I threaded in a MPT to Slip converter. I only had a slip ball valve, so I used a MPT to slip converter.

It's leaking a little bit in the threaded area. I'm guessing maybe the bulkhead threads aren't FPT? Maybe it's like FH and I need a MH adapter instead? Do you guys have this tank/bulkhead and have any suggestions?

Did you thread on a fitting onto the same threads that the bulkhead nut threads on? Those threads are non-standard. Nothing really fits onto them.

Not the outside threads, the inside threads (it's a female NPT). So I have a 1" male NPT to slip fitting. So strange because my fitting is male NPT, and the bulkhead is female NPT. Strange why it's still leaking.

I bought a 40 from rural king shipping was 12.00 if you spend over 100 it was free. Over 40 gallon is a shipping charge regardless. Here is another Blain's farm and fleet I believe has some good or free shipping

I use "heavy duty" teflon tape on all my fittings. It's thick and does not fall apart like the cheap teflon tape. Most hardware stores sell it.

I realized I hadn't threaded in the MPT in all the way. I cranked it all the way in (it was pretty difficult, needed two of those locking grips) and I think it's sealed now. I think there were 3 threads showing still. I had stopped threading it in because the bulkhead started rotating in place, so I thought that was it. But after putting two grips to keep the bulkhead in place, I got it all the way in.

I'm crossing my fingers this will do it.
