I'm setting up my first reef tank (25 gallon). When looking into wavemakers and powerhead, I came across the jebao brand and thought about getting one, probably the RW-4 model.

I would appreciate if someone could give their input on the performance of the jebao brand of wavemakers, or if I should choose some other brand.

I plan on keeping mainly soft and LPS coral and maybe a SPS like seriatopora, so was aiming for something with about 500 gph, and preferably something going that won't burn a hole in my pocket, like a mp-10.

Also I don't live in the US, so some more common brands there aren't easily accessible to me, like Fluval.

I had a 4 and an 8 in my JBJ 28. I’ve had them for years without a problem. I just set up a 65 gallon and I’m going to add a Jebao 15. You can’t beat the price. Just keep it clean and you’re set.

Go with the newer ones. Like the jebao OW-10 would work well for lps and softie. Could always add the smaller sw-2 as well to give just tad more flow.
