This is “scaredy cat” (named by my son). Today is the day that we say goodbye and take you North to a LFS for a new home. If only you had eaten more algae. If only you and my watchman goby had become friends.
Even though I know this is what is best, I can’t help but feel bad about the decision.

For anyone out there that had to rehome a fish, I feel for you. It’s not an easy decision. I thought it would be, but as the day has a arrived, I can’t help but want to change my mind. No turning back now…. I guess…. We will see, I have to catch him first. :::fingers crossed:::::

what's it eating?
He eats a little film algae but mostly the frozen foods I feed. He wasn’t the the GHA solution they told me he would be. I’d keep him if he got along with everyone though. I’ve had him since December. It’s just not working out.

This sounds like a good plan. I was asking myself why, until I read your last post.

I need to re-home a fish and have been putting it off, but I may happen this weekend

i once used an eighth ounce jig on an ultra light rod and reel to catch a miniatus grouper.
my daughter, now twenty seven, was three at the time. she still remembers that with a laugh.
dad fishing in the fish tank.
I mean, we might have to go this route. He will do anything food

Yeah we don’t have one of those. My husband thinks he is the master fish catcher and told me to just “watch him work”.

lol this should be good

Should have thought of eyebrows for a name

Rocky seamed like a great fit at the time

You should get a tail spot or a bicolor blenny. I’ve had both and I have to say they’re aggressive with the GHA specially the tailspot.
I have a tailspot that never touches algae. I see him nipping at the rocks here and there, but I always assumed he's just going after pods or plankton or something smaller than what I can see. If he's gone anywhere near any of the algae, it hasn't been enough for me to notice it.

I've been keeping my eyes open for a lawnmower for my 20g AIO invert QT*. The only one I've seen in an LFS was too big. I was hoping to get a smaller one that can stay in there for a while and move it to the DT if and when it outgrows (or out eats) it.
One of the LFSs does have a Molly Miller that I might end up grabbing instead.

*As much as I don't want a fish in the invert QT, I think it might be the easiest way to get the algae cleaned up as I'm just about finished dealing with dinos.

I love these fish but I’m going to up my snail game before I add more to my bioload…. Next tank ;) for sure!

Mine was pretty big when I got him. Just be advised, for me, he didn’t even put a dent in algae issue. Parameters, manual labor and hydrogen treatments have been the most effective until I get my snails out of QT.

if it's an aggressive eater, go the turkey baster route.
should bring it right up to the top so your hubby can net it.
have the video ready. ;)
Video Please ;Hilarious ;Hilarious
Sadly no video…. It took literally two seconds before he asked for my help. Lol the blenny is one smart cookie because even food wouldn’t bring him far enough out. We ended up having to remove the top of the aquascape to get him out.
I challenged my husbands “master fish catcher” Title. To which, he replied it was my fault for giving him a cavern to hide in.
lol smh ::insert non existent hand over face emoji:::

Congratulation on your success on the fishing expedition, and there were no casualties ;Hilarious
