Goodie or Baddie? What is or? Is this some sort of Bristle worm? If so, I've never seen one this big. Like 8in. Should I remove it from my 180 gal tank? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

can you get a photo of it in white light? looks like a large bristle worm. some people like them some take them out of the tank. generally considered a good part of your clean up crew.

if you to take it out use tongs not your hand as it can leave little hair stuck in you.

It's one of those critters that can be considered a pest or a friend.
Some people dont like brittle starfish/serpent starfish but I think they are great detritovores.
They are not troublesome in small numbers however they can overpopulate and become a nuisance without some intervention

Does it look like a match for one of these (Pherecardia striata - this species is thought to be a cryptic complex, meaning there are thought to be multiple [in this case, at least three] species currently recognized as this one and waiting to be differentiated/described)?
If so, you have a super cool invert-predator, and I'd personally try keeping it as a sump monster/in its own tank.
