Hi all,
I hope it is the right section (are Gorgonians LPS??).
I got a frag of Antillogorgia sp. (photosynt. gorgonian) last week. I placed it near the powerhead right under the kessil, so it gets a lot of flow and maybe 150-200 PAR (with long ramps up and down). It opened a bit for few days and now has been 3 days since its completely closed, looks like a gum stick.
Should I be worried or its normal?
I have some dinos in the tank, so I hope it is not because of that. The other corals look fine for now..

gorgonians are soft corals. photosynthetic gorgonians are usually one if the easiest corals to keep. like many soft corals (like leathers) gorgonians can be quite finicky at times and close for a few days with no apparent reason. Also the coral might be shedding, which is something gorgonians do regularly. if you can list your parameters that would be helpful, since gorgonians enjoy nutrients in the water column too.

Sure. Parameters seems good to me:
-NO3: 10ppm
-KH: 7dkh (I usually keep at 8 but it has been going slowly down for a couple of weeks, I think because I added some frags and the kh consumption increased a tiny bit)
-Ca: 430 ppm
-Mg 1350 ppm ( I am planning to boost it to 1500)
- temp 82F (because of dinos, it will stay like that for one week only, usually sits at 78-79)

I cannot test PO4 because I ran out of reagent so I need to wait one week for it to arrive
I am not doing water changes because of the Dinos, so the microelements might be a bit low

Based on the data available everything seems fine. Only other suspicion might be the dinos releasing harmful toxins that could be bothering the gorgonian (which happened in my experience). there doesn't seem like there is much you can do, I would wait a few more days and see how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback. Let's see, hopefully it will open again.
