Gorgonians

Any ideas on what type of gorgonian that is?
I saved this one, does anyone know what species it is? If you do and you have this gorgonian what are some things that help it thrive in your reeftank?

How can i tell if mine is caribbean or pacific?
The colorful ones are usually non photosynthetic. If their polyps are brown they are usually photosynthetic like the one I just got. You can refer to the picture to see how brown. White or other colored polyps are non photosynthetic

So here is the deal. Don't be nervous. We all start with a sterile box but once we introduce something, regardless of source, everything sterile goes out the window. I'd even challenge those who say they QT, dip, rinse, chaw, or anything else in between. Once you introduce something what is know is no more.

We, hobbyists, mitigate by process and procedure while buying from sources with a good history. It is about the best we can do. So while I understand being nervous there is no stopping Mother Nature.

Fair enough. :)

I genuinely love my Grubes Gorgonian ! Its an awesome piece and I think very beginner friendly, also has good growth rate!

Can check out my section on the left side of my tank in my recent Lagoon Update.

Picture of some of my gorgonia just after placing them in their new aqaurium:
Some are not open yet or fully open.
Most of these have been with me a long time. The one on the left over 10 years.
I still have a few more to add to this tank and are still in the other aquarium.
all were bought at the places listed in this thread.
The Purple is not cyano. There are the leds on this tank and I think they mess with my camera.
Really gives my Gorgonia a purple hue to..
