I’m pretty sure but just need confirmation. Is this bugger a gorilla crab? Found his claw from a recent shed

Lol stabbing crabs.

Maybe a trap of some sort? I’d understand if you just lose it & tear apart the rocks. I’ve been there. Spent a full night using every kitchen utensil I could find before tearing my rocks apart.

May the odds be ever in your favor...

It’s only a 40g tank and it’s the biggest rock which hosts a nem, several lps and snails ect, so removing or cracking it open is not a viable option (believe me I have sooooo wanted to). Hopefully he stays this small...the claw piece is only a cm long. Honestly he hasn’t caused any trouble for the tank, and I hate the idea of killing him too (when I tried to stab him, i was trying to get him for over an hour and was stressed and ticked off by that point) I’d love to have him as a sump monster. We have tried to coax him out by feeding him, set up traps (which only caught every single nassarius) and sat with a set of loooonnnnng tweezers to try get him, but no luck for us. He will get the privilege of staying...for now
