Unfortunately no - though it certainly is interesting. The closest I know at the moment is Pilumnus cf. hirtellus. Supposedly it can be found outside of European waters, but it doesn't seem very common at all elsewhere.Black backed crab is in interesting. @ISpeakForTheSeas do you recognize this? The claws have a bit of downward curve like the mithrax crabs, don't they?
Hard to see the little guy, but looks like a porcelain crab to me. I see three legs on either side. Do you ever see it waving "fans" around (filter feeding)?
Pretty sure the other one is a gorilla crab.
I might just add it in! It's going into a 3g macroalgae only tank with some sexy shrimps and no fish. I already added the small porcelain into the tank and will probably boot the last beige crabUnfortunately no - though it certainly is interesting. The one in the third pic does look like a porcelain crab of some variety to me (big, scissor-like claws with three legs).
The other crab definitely looks like a non-reef safe variety.
LOL! I was working on my new TBS order and had the rock out of the sump. I had all of these crab dropping off of the rock. None of the dark crab though. The rock was for the sump, so I didn't worry.Assuming these are gorilla crabs. Lots of life on the TBS rocks. Hope I can keep these. Thoughts? 3 and 5 are the same crab.
