I've noticed over the past couple weeks that I have been seeing more and more tiny snails, usually they are with another tiny snail, I see them during the day but see more at night. Also I have noticed another type of snail, I'm not sure if they are the bad coral eating ones, sundial I think they are called? And finally I have these flat bug that I pretty much only see at night, they stay tight to the rocks and I pick them off with tweezers, I'm not sure if they are isopods or something that I need to get out of my tank, I have been removing them when I see them but if they are harmless I would rather leave them, I haven't seen them on any corals but don't want to take any risks. Thanks for any help in advance. Can take more pics if needed.

They are collonistas. They are fine.

As far as the "other" critters, if you can pick them off the rock, they aren't an isopod. Those things will run. Could it be a chiton? If you could grab one of those and take a picture, that would be great. See if it has snail like structures underneath their shell.

Thank you for the info, I will see about getting better pictures, so both the tiny snails that usually have another one on them and the larger ones that I'm holding with tweezers are all collonistas? And they are reef safe?

Yes, a bunch of different species have all made it into the hobby. The small ones could be juveniles of the one in your tweezers or they could be a completely different species. I have 2 different species in my tank. Yes, they are reef safe. Be careful of them if you have an acrylic tank, as you don't want to be scraping one of them across your panel when you clean. I love them. They are a reef safe addition.

All those things are fine. I enjoy them. I have ALOT in one of my tanks. The small hitchhiker varieties don't cause issues.

Again, if you have acrylic, be mindful of all of those critters, the limpets especially.

Ok well I'm good on that, mines glass. When I got home today I did notice a blue legged hermit climbed up one of my sps and couldn't tell if it was trying to eat or what, then I looked on the other side of the tank and there was another blue leg on a Jedi mind trick frag I cut awhile ago on my frag rack and I don't know what he was doing to it, but have you ever heard of hermits messing with sps?

Hermit can be tricky but never seen them eat a healthy coral.
Sometimes the will go after a sick coral or one that is dying, mostly softies.
Can't blame the hermits as they are part of the clean up crew "CUC"
Myself had never a hermit as I believe corals left alone and not bothered much in captivity will do good and pay off the result.

Hermits have the amazing urge to climb on top of sps. Whether they were chasing that tasty small piece of detritus caught in polyps or between branches, or maybe just to catch a rest; they do not tend to damage the tissue and just irritate the coral. You can try knocking them off, but if you have hermits like mine, some just do not know when to quit and climb back to the exact same coral. However, if you have tissue recession/dying, then they are probably just cleaning house.

I've never noticed them to ever cause any disturbance but I was confused to come home and find two separate crabs both on sps, one had climbed up about a 4" acro

Ok, well thanks for everyone's input, I didn't know if I was just that lucky that I had some hermits going rogue on me lol. I had just never seen one scale up an acro like it was King Kong or something but glad to hear nobody has ever had them do anything but annoy them, I had never heard of them eating coral but just wanted to be sure.
