I got maxspect razor that came with my tank that had a blown out power supply. I fixed the power supply but I don’t know anything about the lights so when it’s turned on only some of the lights turn on. Don’t know if this is a problem or is it even worth fixing. This is my first tank so I need some help

I can’t find any thing but I was just wondering should I just buy a new one. So far I’ve only spent $40 on the power supply

Check with max spect and see what they charge if any to assess the light

I will try that see how but if it’s too expensive to fix what kind of light should I get
Aqua illumination hydra 26 or Orphek OR3 light bars

If you end up not wanting that unit, send me a pm. I try to fix electronics in my garage as a hobby/challenge
I like fixing electronics too, it’s gonna cost $150 for the replacement parts. So do you think it worth the fix.

It’s worth more than 150 if you can get it working, and you won’t find anything better for 150. Even a single used hydra 26 is gonna be 250-300 if you’re lucky

Personally, that Maxspect has an incredible spectrum in the UV range that you don't see in even the most expensive units.

Yes, I would suggest repairing and using it.

Did you contact maxspect for this problem?
I'm also curious about how Razor works

you probably got a burnt uv led on one or more of the pads. had 3 of these lights. known issue. problem is that these pads are discontinued and hard to find. If you can find at reasonable price, might be worth it, but there is always the chance that after replacing 1 pad, another one will burn, as this is not a young lamp.

I'd fix it if you can.

But if you end up needing new lights @noopsyche is running a crazy deal on the new k7 v3. You could get 2 noops and light that 120 for just over $300

what s your tank's size? LPS or SPS dominated?
