I'm planning to have either 120g or 125g both standard tank. My question is how many holes can the tank handle? Reason is I want to use the ghost overflow which require two drills holes and 4 other holes for the DerKoon flow wolf water diverter( digital version of om). Purpose for choosing this method is to have the tank run quit and have lot of random flow. I think it cheaper than buying lot of power head. This tank will be heavily stock with sps maybe few lps.

I have 3 in the back of a 210 but its 5/8 glass. Flow is really not as expensive anymore with the jebaos . I have a wp40 and love it. I will probably be getting a wp60 soon

I've seen the jebwo but it doesn't look pleasing to me. I'm not a big fan of having something big sticking out inside the tank and the cord coming out of the tank. I love my mp10 can change the mode n can dial up or down which is my fav feature but cost too much.

A closed loop setup is going to get you in the long run as the pumps you will need to create the flow you want are energy hogs. With some good rock placement you can almost eliminate seeing powerheads. Also I doubt your method will be cheaper on the pumps alone as a high flow pump like you will want will run you about the cost of two sufficient powerheads for your setup. That being said I love a closed loop system and think it works great. Maybe get some penductulators for the outputs to enhance the flow more. I think as long as your holes are space apart enough you can go pretty crazy with how many.
