Got a war coral last week...

Noticed this on the coral today. Any idea what the fuzzy stuff is?

Looks to be flesh coming off. Is it near another coral with sweeper tentacles?

As I read this and look over, yes, moving the frogspawn now....

That is not a war coral....or certainly not the war corals I know. Looks like maybe some kind of mushrooms????

The picture that pulled up for me is a favites pentagona, war coral.

Been looking at them for some time. Also picked up a purple and green one from my local LFS...

And sorry for the horrible pic, I need to find the right setting with the AI HDs when taking pictures...

Looks like s good war coral frag to me! Mine got darker red the longer it was in my tank then started spreading. It was just a skeleton directly down the center with the living tissue on the sides. It healed well and filled in the gap. Good luck with it! I love mine!
