yesterday.

blue-grey branching sinularia
neon green sinularia
ultra neon green aussie toadstool (or something like that).

Have the sinularias fairly high up, had to turn the gyre's down to 20% (one on each end), and it still was blowing over to one side (ie: folded). Woke up this morning and it's more upright, so I'm thinking/hoping that its adjusting to the flow.

The neon green sinularia glows in normal lighting, really cool.

The toadstool, probably won't glow unless I put the blues on, which is why I'm on the hunt for a 6x54 or 6x80W T5 fixture.

When I get home. Probably will be blue though. Lol

Not the best pics. The last pic is of my Favia that I just can't quite figure out where to put it. It has a mucus over it and kind of dull.

update, the blue-grey is fully inflated, and was able to up the gyres to 25%.

Attention!

Reduced gyre flow to 20% on each end. Really likes this.

But since last post....things are not so happy.

Sinularia and Toadstool are both closed up tight. No friggin idea why, but if I can't keep these happy...I have major problems if I want to keep corals.

Thought maybe too much light so I moved down. That hasn't worked.

I am really growing to despise the Photon 48 light. I absolutely do not know what settings to run

Id go 40% blue, and 10-20% white, or lower to be safe, I run my black box leds around these levels with success on my soft corals.

The sinularia polyps came out. The toadstool is tight and almost has a reflective finish, its shiny. Odd.

Water tests were fine. 1.025, 8.7 dKH, 0 NO3, 430 calcium, 1400 magnesium. 77.9 degrees, 8.26 pH.

Hi, I keep a lot of softies and LPS...it looks like your tank water might be a bit TOO clean for them...they like a little bit of nitrate and phosphate. Leathers can be temperamental sometimes, I wouldn't worry when they slime like that. Probably getting used to your light and water. Could take a bit.

I have been fighting Dino's and now cyano starting. Tying to dirty it up leading to bacteria :)

The toadstool still has not opened. Going on 2 weeks now. Starting to get concerned. May move it to the biocube. Little dirtier water, less flow, and at least there, the lighting is dialed in.
