I have had good luck treating in tank with metronidazole (flagyl) mixed with selcon and garlic extract (selcon is optional and just provides extra vitamins). Then you soak dehydrated brine shrimp in that and feed twice a day. Takes a couple of weeks. Won't hurt your reef and if the fish are healthy works well for the ich. Not sure about the brooknella.

If you have several containers and enough water, research the transfer method for the ich. Quinine sulfate has worked well for me for ich in the past. Never dealt with brooklynella though but I read Formalin is a good product to use but needs to be done ASAP. Good luck!

Yeah, I'm not too concerned about the ich right now but the brooklynella worries me. I have dipped the clownfish in formalin and am working on getting the rest of the fish out. I think I am going to do a dip on them too as a precaution. I lost several fish to brooklynella several years ago and it seemed like when it was visible you only had a short time until it was too late.

A little morning update. All of the fish are alive this morning. I was really worried about the coral beauty because when I got it out it was looking rough. After the formalin dip all the other fish were doing okay but it swam around aimlessly with its head sticking out of the water. After a couple of hours it sat in the fake, plastic coral I put in the tank for another few hours. It finally started swimming around more normally after the lights went out. The salinity is holding at 1.009 and there is no ammonia detected and the pH is good due to some baking soda put in the topoff drip. For now I am just going to monitor everything and wait.

Hope it works out Mike... I have to pull a bully out of the tank myself... When I has a leaky nano I threw all the fish in there, My black and white stripe damsel does not like my new green chromis'. GRRRRRR...

Well, the first few days in QT I lost both clowns, the coral beauty, and the Butterfly. They all got what seemed to be brooklynella and died shortly afterwards despite formalin dips. All of the remaining fish looked healthy but didn't eat much at all. The scooters and diamond goby didn't eat anything and pretty much sat in one spot all week long. The sailfin and rabbit fish cowered in the corner the whole time. I made the decision to put them back into the display and treat the ich with metronidazole and hope the brooklynella was gone. I raised the salinity back up over a couple of days and put them back in yesterday. They are acting normal again and eating like pigs. I know it probably wasn't the smartest decision but I know I would have lost the scooter blennies and the diamond goby anyway because they would have eventually starved themselves to death. The ich was never very severe and if the brooklynella is gone I think the metronidozole will kick the ich.

Did the same thing mike and paying the price now. Hopefully you don't suffer any more losses.
The annoying thing is that the fairy wrasse I believe brought it in is the healthiest right now.

Had the same promblem tank been empty for 90 days bout to start getting more fish now . Local dealer in fay. Nc talked good but had all kinds of diseases . So from now on ill guarentine everything
