First time I've tried a Macropharyngodon bipartitus! Got her yesterday, fat, very colorful and she went through acclimation just fine.

Decided to put her directly into the DT and she went straight into the sand. Came home from work and she was just cruising around hunting like they do. Fed some flake to see if it would eat it and it went to town eating. Fed some mysis and rods and it ate everything that came her way. Very good sign. Other fish excepted her just fine.

Very happy camper right now!

I will try to post a picture of her after dinner.

Beautiful wrasse - love the blue star leopard! She is gorgeous!

Thanks, she doing great. Eats like a pig! I put any food in the tank and she's right there with them getting her share. :)

Leopard wrasses are really underrated fish; especially when you find one that is eating prepared foods.
My female M. bipartitus transistioned into a beautiful male; now I know why they're called Blue Stars!

She must still be on her old light cycle, goes to bed every evening at 6:30 pm.

Supper pretty fish! I was looking at one today at my lfs. I'm still in the early stocking phase of my 144. I'm at a loss on what to stock and what order to stock when I figure it all out. Right now I have a pair of gold lightning clowns and 4 lyretail''s. I know a yellow coris is on my list but the leopard is amazing. Will those 2 wrasses get along? Should this one be intoduced at this point before I start introducing a one spot fox face and maybe a tang of some type? I'm looking for color, character and movement. I'm open for stocking suggestions if you think of other potentially nice additions. :)

Youll get alot more eyes on it if you start your own new thread...:)

I knew it was an old Post when I posted, I seen @Flippers4pups had experience with this fish since I'm tossing it around. :)

Just thought I would tap his brain a little and see what he experienced with this fish. I can start a thread with the other questions I had though. I do appreciate you looking at it and giving feedback on a new thread! :)

Either way, I applaud the choice as a fellow Blue Star owner. :D
