So I finally got these buggers to look awesome! The key is to move them up slowly to very high light and medium to low flow. They just look so good and they get better every day! I am proud that I got these doo doo looking things to color up for me like they were when I got them from Todd and CC. :D yay! I actually like them now! lol!

Lol! I knew someone was going to post that! I will get some new pics of them tomorrow but the lights are off right now.

So now that mine are borderline a mini colony I guess I should try to color them up as well! I will try your technique.

I've always had pretty good success with zoos by just slowly moving them up, like my spidermans look very bad at the bottom of the tank as oppossed to 1/2 way up.

Yeah mines looked Like some punk and golds when I got them...
One word of advice I would give to someone who wants to color them up is BLUE light.they like 15k+...they tend to loose color under LEDs btw.

I moved mine up over a few weeks. They bleached a tad when I put them up high but I moved them down a few inches and found their happy spot in the tank.

Also, I tried to get pictures yesterday and they are really hard to capture the pink on so they still look blah in the pictures.

So glad to hear!

I saw them in a Reefers Cove for sale thread all colored up and happy too. The color is there you just gotta give em what they need :D

the other day I noticed mine colored uo great

Sent from my tank using tapatalk

We recently got ours to look darned near perfect too! Put them off to the side in our acro tank... around 200 PAR under 400 watt radiums. Good thing is they grow like weeds under pretty much any lighting. Unfortunately, they pretty much look just yellow under t5. I haven't experimented with LED yet on them though.
