Tank has cycled and I added two clowns as my first fish. It's a 150 gal tank. Lfs recommended and sold me frozen brine shrimp cubes. I cut them up pretty small and the fish ate them up. Just wondering if that's the best food to give them.

Are brine just fillers? Not much as far as substance?

Brine isn't the best food to feed them. It's not nearly as nutritious as other foods you'll find. mysis should be better along with some good quality pellets and other meaty frozen foods. LRS and Rod's are good healthy choices.

Agreed, not that its the worst food either. My opinion is that frozen food is mostly just voing to muck up your water at this point. Try the spectrum thera+ pellets. Its the staple for most aquarist tanks.

Rod's Original, with Mysis. chop everything fine and feed little bits.

I ordered some spectrum food, should be here Wednesday, until then one more frozen feeding.

Email @Rod's Food they will let you know
What city are you in? If your fish like mysis we also carry a Pacific Plankton pack, which is alot like Mysis but from the ocean. It's also got natural Asthaxanthin in it so it helps color your fish up too. Our Original Blend is very clean and only made with the freshest ingredients, we also rinse our food in RO water before we chop it up to wash of the Tripolyphosphates that boaters use to preserve seafood with. @underwaterdan
