Daughter went away for three days for a school field trip and the wife was out and about. Almost everything I ordered from Amazon came so I hit up the LFS and bought some live rock and had a blast!
I haven't had a tank in years and I always love coming back. Though it seems like it is smaller every time.
I placed 13 lbs of live rock. Drilled zip tied and superglued the rock.
I had to retrofit my desk. I stood on the desk and jumped and I am 200, and it didn't move. However, I am a worrier so I beefed up the suspension with some 2 x 4 's and some metal tape.
I have the JW 2 wavemaker, I added a tiny pump in the back to keep a little flow back there. I hope I left enough room to keep clean.
I am dosing ammonia and will ad the bio spira as soon as I see the ammonia move.
I am weird, I LOVE mushrooms and like having fish, so I will probably wind up with 3-4 fish and some ghetto corals.
I am going to fabricate a media basket for slot one, and have an LED and use 2 for a refugium and see if it works, M50 in three.
So my man cave where I go to write has a new toy. I love the size of this tank. No skimmer, once or twice a week water changes.
