Pretty excited about getting this THe build looks good now I just have to hook it up.

How do the Avast compare with the GEO?
What is so good about the Avast in your opinion? I know nothinggggggg about this brand but
I have heard about GEO in my sleep!!!!!!! and so has the rest of the world.........
Brand name = better resale value etcetc?????
I am asking because I am in the market for one.
Thanks kindly, Tim.

I have had both the GEO and Precision Marine, and will continue to rock the PM in the future. Same build basically, but PM is cheaper. The Avast is a stirrer type reactor, where the GEO and PM is mix with a powerhead, like a Maxijet.

I would love to "test" a Avast to see how it compares to the others as well, as I'm sure it functions just as well as the expensive guys.

Sorry I havent gotten pics up yet been a busy weekend. The build is good and I really like the stirrer type over the pump type. i plugged it in and made sure it would work . I will get some pics up soon. Pretty good product compared to other similar products. Nice packaging too. THanks guys

Yes of course its an Avast Kalk stirrer.

here is a pic. I didnt put much kalk in it yet. only 1/2 cup. about half to a third of what I need but want to make sure all was good to go first.

really nice unit.

What 'cha gonna use to feed it? I use a cheap 'ole AquaDoser on a APEX. Works great for me.

i feed it with a brs 50ml per min dosing pump. works like a champ

Looks great, mojo! Yes, peristaltic pump is definitely the best way to run a kalk reactor. I like to control mine with double negative feedback- both level sensor and pH. Turn OFF when level reached OR pH > 8.5. Good way to prevent kalk accidents.

has anyone used the ph probe in the k1 reactor if so how high of ph limit do you set it on the ph controller. also do you use it to turn off the stirrer to lower the ph in the limewater?
