Got my Live Aquaria order today

I got 1 Clownfish, 1 Banggai Cardinal, 1 Royal Gramma, and a spotted mushroom. They seem healthy, but Im worried about the size. All the fish I order was listed as medium, so I thought they would be bigger then they are. Im putting them my QT for now,but Im worried about adding them to my 40 breeder. I have a Mellenarus wrasee in my 40 and hes about 3 inchs. All the new fish are like 1 to 1 1/2 inch. I do have to say the mushroom looks good, its on a long piece of branch, with about 5 shrooms.

They do not grow fast at all. But if you're worried about your wrasse, I can't imagine him bothering the clown.

I think you should be ok. Most melanurus wrasses are pretty easy going.

Yeah, thats what Ive heard, I was just worried about the size difference.

i have a melanurus wrasse in a 40br along with a banggi for a while now been just fine.
after QT I think you will be fine.

So, today is the second day of having them. The Royal Gramma is eating good. But the Clownfish seems to run from the food, he is out and swiming all up and down the tank tho. And the Cardinal is still hiding in the back. Do you think they will come around? Is it too soon to worry?

Clownfish are typically very hardy. Just keep at feeding and he should come around.

My Ora clownfish from LA took a few days to start eating. I found they like Halari Marine S and Reef Nutrition TDO Boost

Well the clownfish is eating now. He and the royal gramma will fight over the food. But the cardinal has not ate yet. Hes still hiding the back, I seen take a piece of food once, but then spit it back out. Im feeding Larrys Reef Frenzy.

Cardinals like to have some kind of structure to hide behind/under (an artificial branching coral or plant would do nicely in QT) . That may make him feel safer and more likely to eat. Good luck with him.
