Got red slime ??!! What are my options

Chemical might take care of it now but it might happen again. Take note of where it started in your tank and increase flow there as they like low flow area. Check your lighting and reduce the intensity as well as duration of green and red light. These steps worked for me in preventing it from coming back but again, every tank is different.

Algae and Cyno are natural organisms in the tank. Instead of trying to get rid of it we should manage it. When we try to fight nature we are fighting a losing battle. Change feeding, flow and maybe increase water changes. Get a phosphate reactor, but try to embrace what is already natural. Remember everything has a purpose.

I am not sure this is correct.
Cyanobacteria is not a natural occurring bacteria in our enclosed systems. It must be introduced.

So I only dosed one time of 8ml for a 72 bowfront and 30 gal sump. And the next day my acros were brown and some where white... I thought it was safe for all? No? And my brain coral has closed up as well. Everything else in the tank ok and perfectly fine . What happened? ? I did the minimum dose and it turned my sps brown

So update for everyone:) I dosed one time as directed with chemi-clean. Turned off skimmer, took out media, and let tank run for 36 hours! And poof :) all trace of cyano, red slime, ect vanished!!!! Turned all skimmer and media back on, tank hasn't been happier! All corals are out and larger than normal.

I lost almost all of my coral due to it building up in the back of my tank. Work and kids distracted me from keeping up with water changes and poof. 3000$ worth of coral vanished in a couple weeks. Have it under control. But now the bubble algae is getting out of control.
