Was briefed today that if the gov shuts down I (and the office) will have to report monday morning to be told we are furloughed. And we will have an hour to collect our stuff.

Isn't this fun. :squigglemouth:

im right there with ya... my farther and I both work at the wichita, ks VA hospital. its still up in the air here...

edit: sorry, but we don't get into politics here on R2R, just our policy to keep this place as friendly as possible, thank you for understanding

I know what you mean, I count on VA checks to pay rent. If the VA doesn't have $$$=I don't have $$$

sorry again guys, but I did have to edit a few posts to keep the discussion away from politics at large. I know the threads just about dealing with the reality of the possible(?) shutdown, and it's a blurry line to begin with, but lets keep it to just discussing what it is, not getting sidetracked by getting upset with either side of the bigger picture.

Apologies again for disturbing y'all's thread, as another person dependent currently on the government, I can only agree with how horribly frustrating it is.

No worries on the edit. Though the lithium comment is fact and quite interesting to boot.

My first comment was 100% my opinion though. :)
