It's like a Pepsi Challenge of Salt Mixes over there in TN :)
Lol!!!

No one best mix, but just finding the right parameters and lost faith in the RPM.

Have you tried TLF salt? I am using that
I've never seen that before.
I do like the 4 - 50 gallon bags.

Thanks, Justin
It's a tad low on alk, but something to consider down the road.

Best salt I ever used so easy so simple was a problem with the first shipments as the bag would break but I was well taken care of when it happened to me

What is this "water change" voodoo of which you speak?! :p

Yeah,
I broke off some pieces of the setosa, birdnest and half of the green acro :(

But, the AP700 is growing them back.

:)

That looks gorgeous. Congratulations Freddie

The Fatheads are fading away :(

I had to change the flow for the bounce and really cut back on the Reef Roids.

The duncan heads go so big, that they would sweep in the RR's and then they'd stayed closed for acouple of days, digesting the Reef Roids.

Right now, we're testing (timing) this thing out:
Shots from last night.

Holy high tech Batman!

That Vertex really pretty. Simon probably doesn't even know what that contraption is for :)

That is so sad about the fathead. The one in my DT seems fine, the one in my QT tank started to fade because he wasn't getting enough food. But he's hanging in.

I hope they hang in there. There is a big range between dead and growing like rabbits.

I think mine are fading too fast to pull out of the hole.

When our AC went out, I was not paying attention to them, declining.

Stop time:

8:11 pm central time...

15 gallons in just under 2 hours. Not enough time for the auto flush to kick in, but that's why we put the cutoff valve on the output.

When the unit hits back presser it does an auto flush before it turns off.

It took 3.5 to 4 hours with the BRS 4 stage to hit 15 gallons.

To upgrade the BRS:
$12 for broken presser gauge
$150 for the booster kit (too many hose connections with the smart buddy)
$60 for the piggy back upgrade kit.... Grand total = $222

Caught the Vertex / on sale / from Premium Aquatics for just under $250
They ran out of stock.

But... Looks ;Wideyed like Marine Depot still has both models on sale:

https://www.marinedepot.com/Vertex_...-Vertex_Technologies-VX11501-FIRORDNH-vi.html

https://www.marinedepot.com/Vertex_...-Vertex_Technologies-VX11503-FIRORDRO-vi.html

Gotta love summer sales ;Woot ;Woot

:)

@hybridazn

Thanks for talking me into the 100 g per day model. No need for the 200 g per day :)

@Flippers4pups
Thanks for taking the time to make your RO/DI video.

I ran the RO/DI without the DI resin in. It hung for along time at 50 on the TDS meter.
It finally bottomed out at 2

If I fired with the DI resin in, all that mess would have wasted the DI.

Freddie

I have that vertex model (without the pump or tds meter I added my own smart buddie and two 3 sensor tds meters) be careful the pressure gauge will leak if not careful other then that great rodi I get 25 gallons in 2.5 hours I added a second di and carbon block with a second membrane made sure I get the best water for my fish I think u will be happy
