GoVols: Red Sea S-400

Hello,

Super sorry for the loss and I know how painful it may be.
I will say your pics are really neat with that app. May need to try and find it. Do you plan on doing anything to replace your clown fish. It’s hard because they can never be replaced but wasn’t sure if you were gonna add something else.’

Sad update today...

Our 8 year old clownfish passed away this week. She was 1 (bonded pair) when we brought her home in 2012.

Couple of pictures for her memory:

Reefing can sure be tough from time to time.

So sorry for your loss Freddie.

Sarah,
You never can say never, but we're staying with the fish that we have. We don't have a QT tank and it's just not worth the risk to put the other fish in jeopardy. I hope no more livestock will go out, or comes in.

If you interested here's one link for the Aquariaclip.

That's a nice looking unit ;)

Looks pretty slick, Keith

Check this out:

Every few days the Alkatronic turns off the cal reactor's solenoid, for two hours.
Set to turn off if dhk rises above 9

Caught a screen shot the other day, while he solenoid was off and flow was on, inside the reactor.

To get a ph of 7.83 with a calcium reactor is nice to see.

Freddie, just getting caught up. So sorry about the girl!

Just been so dang busy lately. I did find time to add some more sand to mine tonight.

BTW ,Tank looks awesome!

Thanks Don,
She is sure missed.

I'll catch up to your build too.

Work has been busy and trying to read thru Rich's build.

just reading through your thread and what a great Tank you have ,and the thread is very informative as well :)

Richard,

Thank you for those kind words.

Hope you've enjoyed your time on Reef 2 Reef.
It is a great place to share and learn.

Freddie

Thanks for all the condolences for our clownfish. She is and will be missed. At this point all other fish and the S-400 is doing great.

Finally flipped "Vader" upright and there's hope in saving that coral. It is pale, but looks like it will pull thru.

The Alkatronic has been humming along and just letting it do it's thing. Tested alk with Salifert for the first time in ten days. That's counting two water changes too. The Alkatronic is still in tune to the Salifert... :)

We cut the testing back to 4 times a day, but if the Alka-T goes into "Action Mode" it will test every two hours until the alk is back inline. Blue dots mean Action Mode and Co2 regulator is turned off.

Two graphs from the last few days.

Well,
I promised @Rakie that I would show some downsides of (Focustronic) Alkatronic.

The below link pretty much speaks for itself.
