GPH in 125 g

is 2000 gph to much in a 6 foot 125 gallon reef tank to much?

IMHO, it's nowhere near enough.

For a soft coral tank you should aim for 20-30x, LPS in the 30x+ range, and for SPS it's difficult to have too much flow.

You are currently at ~16x turnover. My SPS dominant mixed reef is at about 70x through the use of multiple power heads
