I just glued mine in the top 1/3 of the tank. I have a 6 bulb ATI T5 (3 Blue +, 2 coral +, 1 purple +) with 10 nanobox LED clusters; I run the T5s for 10.5 hours about 1 foot off the water surface. My red planet turned into a light pink planet, but everything else seems to be doing okay.

Love the grape juice I got from BC. It was one of my favorites until I killed it with an alk spike just before moving everything to the new tank. Fast grower and quick to branch for me, too. (Mine was a little more pale, about 12" from a 6 bulb ATI T5 + reef brites in a ton of flow -- an MP40, MP60, and MP10 in a 40 breeder)

I think they would do just fine! Maybe not an SPS dominant tank, but if you coordinated lighting placement and your rock scape I'm sure you could pull off most if not anything you wanted!

For me it's just been a waiting game. I had a few pieces brown out within a week or so in the tank, but they are all starting to come back quite nicely. Are your nitrates currently "too high"?

Po4 was .01 and trats were 32 last week
Calcium 500 alk 7.5 and magnesium I could care less

This may not be a popular answer, but I don't think the nitrates are your issue. I think your po4 is too restricted. Are you using po4 removing media?
